All teachers and school administrators are invited to apply for grant funding to enhance initiatives and programs in support of their school improvement plans and the St. Johns County School District’s overall Strategic Plan. Focus areas for all grants should include low performing students, literacy, teacher retention and recruitment, and/or career and technical education.
Our intention is to encourage school leaders and teachers to implement creative programs to address an area of concern for their school with an ultimate goal of improving student performance. Our hope is that these grant funds will be used in areas of need where a budgeted fall short exists or tax dollars cannot be used.
These grants are funded through the generous support of many businesses and individuals along with matching funds from the State of Florida. We are pleased to be able to invest in our students and schools by providing these Horizon Grants for the 2008-09 academic year!
