St. Johns County Education Foundation Quotation

RE:     Supplemental Educational Service Provider (SES Provider)

The St. Johns County Education Foundation (SJCEF) is proud to announce the approval from the Florida Department of Education to provide Supplemental Educational Services (SES) pursuant to the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Act for the 2010-2011 school year.  The SJCEF has been an SES Provider for three (3) consecutive years and will contract with the St. Johns County School District to provide this service.

As an SES Provider, the SJCEF offers free after-school tutoring to qualified students in Title I elementary schools.  Parents of eligible students will be able to sign up their child for tutoring assistance in either reading or math.

Student progress is monitored with pre-and post-assessment tests and parents and school personnel are apprised as to each child’s progress.  Currently, 67% of the students tutored met or exceed their goals as outlined in their Student Learning Plan.

The SJCEF is searching for  a Coordinator to administer the SES program.  This Coordinator works with schools and parents to hire tutors and develop an individual student plan that addresses the individual needs of each student.   If interested, please review the attached job description.  Application deadline is June 18.
